    Job Description

    The Operations Manager’s primary function includes, but is not limited to, the list below, and we guarantee a minimum of 20 hours per week for this position. This person will play a vital role to bridge the gap between Sales, Owner/Management, and Team Members by delivering sound business strategies, processes and procedures. We’re looking for a dedicated individual who is able to effectively problem solve while working independently with minimal supervision. 

    Caring Transitions is a full-solutions business.  Although we specialize in working with seniors, we can help anyone with our breadth of services.  We can train you on the specific tasks of our business, however it begins with smart and caring individuals who are willing to work hard to serve our clients during often overwhelming and emotional circumstances.  It’s volunteer work which you get paid to do!

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Work with Estate Sale and Move Managers to create and publish the Team schedule ensuring the appropriate Team Member is scheduled for each job/project
    • Develop and be accountable for the successful achievements of measurable operational success indicators
    • Schedule and conduct in-home/on-site consultations after 4-6 months of onsite experience
    • Supervise on-boarding, new hire orientation and training of new employees
    • Proper planning and scheduling of needed services at job sites (Bulk trash, dumpster, donations, appraisers and liquidators)
    • Assist the General Manager / Owner in the creation of daily reports
    • Conduct follow-up calls and emails to clients upon completion of job/project
    • Create, develop and manage processes throughout the company to increase efficiency and  productivity
    • Other duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

    • Additional consideration will be given to those with prior Management experience
    • Minimum of Associates Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Strong computer skills to navigate through our systems, as well as a smart phone to conduct business and accomplish job tasks accordingly
    • Must possess strong communication skills, (verbal and written) as well as sound ethical decision making capabilities
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Basic HR Hiring and Termination policies
    • Excellent prioritization and organizational skills are required

    PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Frequent walking and/or standing
    • Stamina to lift heavy items (if necessary) repeatedly (for Moves and Clean Outs)
    • Back-ground check is required for final consideration
