Job Description

MARCUM LLP, one of the largest independent public accounting and advisory services firms in the country, has an immediate full time position open for an in-house Manager, IT PMO to be responsible for managing the Information Technology portfolio and leading the internal team of project managers. This professional is a strong player/coach and will be engaged in managing projects and further developing the PMO within the firm and mentoring a team of project management professionals. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BE A CERTIFIED PROJECT MANAGER WHO IS SUPERVISING OR LEADING A SMALL TEAM OR PMO TODAY, AND LOOKING FOR THAT NEXT OPPORTUNITY TO MANAGE AND FURTHER DEVELOP AN EXISTING PMO & TEAM.

CANDIDATES SHOULD HAVE EXPERIENCE MANAGING PROJECTS IN ALL AREAS OF IT.

• Several years of PMO or portfolio management experience and oversight of project team.
• 5+ years of PM experience, using a variety of methodologies, including Waterfall & Agile, to successfully manage enterprise wide projects.
• Strong governance experience and will further develop reporting and communications.
• Strong experience with project management tools and artifacts and will join team equipped to further develop.
• Work with all IT teams to develop and follow roadmaps.
• Encourage and ensure PM practices are maintained department wide.
• An understanding of accounting principles and terminology. Tax/audit experience a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication. The ability to present to C-level executives and staff.
• Professional services experience is preferred.
• The ability to travel.
• PMP / Agile Certification / Training required.
