Job Description

Marcum Search is working with a high profile, international law firm who has an immediate need for a stellar LITIGATION PARALEGAL to work in their West Los Angeles or Downtown Los Angeles office (HYBRID SCHEDULE). The LITIGATION PARALEGAL will assist attorneys across practice areas on a wide variety of litigation cases. This person will collaborate with case teams to help manage the litigation process from inception through trial.

Responsibilities for LITIGATION PARALEGAL:

· Aids in eDiscovery and trial preparation assistance.

· Assists with trial site preparation and may attend trials.

· Conducts legal research by means of conducting reviews of documents and searching public records as well as electronic information sources.

· Prepares, reviews, and summarizes documents, such as witness interview memoranda, through the use of substantive coding tools.

· Performs and oversees both simple and complex cite checking and proof reading of briefs and other legal documents.

· Manages the document production processes of both hard and electronic documents.

· Collects material from client, opposing parties, and third parties and maintains chain of custody through the process.

· Prepares privilege logs.

· Manages all phases of a litigation case including litigation motion practice, discovery, arbitration trial and appellate procedures.

· Research prior testimony and publications of opposing experts; research rules of procedure for relevant court venues and assures adherence thereto.

· Administratively manage all phases of a litigation case including litigation motion practice, discovery, arbitration trial and appellate procedures.

Requirements for LITIGATION PARALEGAL:

· BA/BS, Paralegal Certificate or qualifying work experience required.

· 5+ years of experience Litigation experience.
