We are assisting our Northeast Ohio based company in their search for a professional, motivated Staff Accountant. This position reports to the Controller.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements, reports and analysis for senior leadership team
• Prepare and audit monthly business dashboard with key financial and operational metrics
• Key participant in our annual budget and planning process
• Support the treasury and risk management processes
• Prepare and analyze key account reconciliations monthly with timely resolution on reconciling items
• Prepare and post journal entries on a monthly basis
• Support the annual financial statement audit
• Process Co-Op invoicing
• Calculate month vendor and customer rebates
• Lead various cross functional projects to drive efficiencies in costs and productivity
• Identity and drive process improvement opportunities

Qualifications

• Organized, tenacious, show a sense of urgency and have a strong ability to multi-task.
• Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, display initiative with decision making and show a genuine desire for continuous improvement.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel is strongly encouraged.
• Familiarity with Oracle and Oracle Report Writer is a plus.
• A 4 year degree in Accounting/Finance is required, 2-4 years of public accounting or relevant accounting experience is preferred and CPA designation is a plus.
