About You
As the first dedicated marketing hire in our rapidly growing startup, you'll have the opportunity to shape our marketing strategy from the ground up. We’re looking for a versatile candidate, who is comfortable personally executing across a broad spectrum of marketing disciplines. But you won't just be a doer—you'll be a visionary architect, charting the course for our marketing journey ahead. Your strategic insights will be instrumental in steering our brand toward greater visibility and impact. As we continue our upward trajectory, you'll have the exciting opportunity to build and lead a dynamic marketing team to support our continued growth.
Responsibilities
Note You need not be an expert in all of these disciplines to qualify, and you'll be empowered to engage outside resources where/when necessary. But we’re looking for a candidate capable of personally executing in as many of these disciplines as possible.
Brand and Marketing Strategy
Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness, positioning, and market penetration.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and target customer segments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing efforts with business objectives.
Basic Visual Design
Create visually compelling and on-brand graphics for digital and print media.
Design marketing materials, presentations, infographics, and other collateral to support direct sales efforts and marketing campaigns.
Copywriting
Craft engaging and persuasive copy for social media posts, blog articles, press releases, and other marketing materials.
Develop compelling long-form content for content marketing initiatives, whitepapers, case studies, etc.
Wordpress Site Administration & Content Development
Oversee and maintain the company's WordPress website, ensuring it reflects the latest developments and marketing messages.
Generate engaging and SEO-friendly content for the website to attract and retain target audiences.
Social Media Campaign Planning & Management
Develop social media strategies to grow brand awareness and drive lead generation.
Manage and execute effective campaigns across social media platforms.
Email Marketing and List Building
Plan and execute email marketing campaigns to nurture leads and retain customers.
Build and manage email lists to ensure targeted and effective communication.
Event and Tradeshow Planning and Coordination
Organize and coordinate marketing events, webinars, and tradeshows to promote our brand and solutions.
Collaborate with the sales team to generate leads and maximize event ROI.
Qualifications
Proven experience in executing successful marketing strategies and campaigns across various channels, preferably in a technology or startup environment.
Proficiency in brand strategy, graphic design, copywriting, and content marketing.
Proficiency in WordPress site administration and content development.
Experience with social media campaign planning and management.
Strong understanding of email marketing best practices and list building techniques.
Self-starter with a proactive mindset, able to work independently and in a team.
Ability to think creatively, solve problems, and adapt to changing market dynamics.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
