    Purpose of Role:

    The Data Privacy Analyst plays a key role in helping Marex meet its Data Privacy obligations through implementation of the Group's Global Privacy Strategy.

The depth of knowledge amongst its teams and divisions provides its customers with clear advantage, and its technology-led service provides access to all major exchanges, order-flow management via screen, voice and DMA, plus award-winning data, insights, and analytics.

    The Risk department is a vital component of Marex that is responsible for maintaining the integrity and stability of its global operations. The Risk team ensures that Marex consistently navigates the complex financial landscape with prudence and foresight through their extensive understanding of market dynamics and regulatory requirements. Through collaboration with other divisions and the leverage of technology, the department continuously monitors and manages various forms of risk, including market, credit, operational, change, and privacy. By fostering a robust risk culture and providing crucial insights to decision-makers, the Risk department plays an indispensable role in safeguarding Marex's reputation and ensuring the continued success of its technology-driven, customer-centric approach.

    Responsibilities :

    • Expand the existing privacy control framework to the US.

    • Manage the onboarding due diligence of third parties, including contract reviews and negotiations, and managing vendor profiles across applications and processes.

    • Highlight issues and work with the Group Data Protection Officer to suggest solutions for privacy controls related policies, procedures, and contractual agreements.

    • Coordinate the review of existing business processes, including legal basis, purposes of use, etc., ensuring it continues to meet legal and internal requirements on record keeping.

    • Coordinate the Data Protection Impact Assessments/Risk Assessments process and assist in risk identification.

    • Assist in enhancing Marex's Privacy Framework to ensure responsibilities and rights are understood by clients, staff, and other individuals whose data we store.

    • Inform and advise data Processors, Data Controllers, and any employee involved in the handling of personal data, concerning their individual obligations under the applicable privacy laws.

    • Assist in ensuring the privacy controls are adequately implemented and revised.

    • Assist in coordinating the implementation of data subject rights and incident and breach management processes.

    • Ensuring compliance with the company's regulatory requirements under the SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC and other applicable exchanges.

    • Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.

    • At all times complying with Marex's Code of Conduct.

      • To ensure that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role, or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility.

      • To escalate risk events immediately.
      • To provide input to risk management processes, as required.

    Skills and Experience

    • Law degree required (specialization in data protection preferred).
    • Professional experience in data protection
    • CIPP/US or another IAPP certification required (or a willingness to complete).
    • Minimum of four years working in data privacy.
    • Previous experience using OneTrust is a plus.
    • Experience working on business change projects with people, process, and technology changes, with a track record of successful implementation (time, costs, and quality).
    • Experience developing privacy controls and communicating them to business stakeholders.
    • Experience with privacy regulations in other jurisdictions.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this.
