Purpose of Role:
****An experienced, strategic, diligent, ambitious, and proactive individual, responsible for a portfolio of Grains products in Latam. Senior/Intermediate level position with the ability to work autonomously, and also as part of a team and directly engage with clients. Commercial ability to maintain good relationship with clients and find new ones to bring flow and increase Marex book in the region.

The Marex Spectron USA OTC Latam department is one the most dynamic regions for our firm, and this role will be responsible for developing the OTC risk management service on Latam, both on grains and FX, out of the newly established Miami office.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the marketing of Grains risk management solutions to large and mid-cap corporate clients throughout Latam (excluding Brazil/Paraguay/Argentina).
- Provide exotic and vanilla risk management hedging solutions to the Grains market (soybean, soybean meal, soybean oil, corn, palm oil, wheat, etc).
- Manage Marex Spectron market risk for OTC grains product set within group risk appetite and defined risk limits whilst generating positive returns
- Working efficiently and supporting with making efficiencies, including but not limited to collaborating with data, research and analytics colleagues to identify opportunities for hedging strategies and clients
- Collaborate with sales/broking functions to originate hedging solutions and structured transactions, with a cross product selling mind set
- Responsible for assisting with the onboarding of any new client relationships and maintaining of existing client relationships, assisting with support processes as required by colleagues, and engaging and updating clients.
- Working efficiently and supporting with making efficiencies e.g. assisting in the preparation of any new required frameworks.
- Collaboration with central operations functions which support the trading role including but not limited to Operations and Technology.
- Strategizing to increase P&L, requiring analysis of markets and products.
- Ensuring compliance with the company's regulatory requirements under the SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC and other applicable exchanges.
- Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.

- Carrying out regulatory activities under the appropriate trading book
- Liaising with clients in US and Latam; clients include consumers, producers, merchants and trading houses.

- To report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/ or your supervisor as required
- To escalate risk events immediately
- To provide input to risk management processes, as required.

Skills and Experience
- 3+ years' experience in trading in corporate derivative sales for the Grains market
- Strong knowledge of commodity derivatives (OTC and listed) including futures, options, swaps, and structured products as well as an understanding of the Grains (counterparty credit knowledge would be advantageous)
- Transferable relationships with large and mid-size corporate clients
- 10-25% Traveling required
- Fluent in English and Spanish required
- Proactive mindset in keeping up to date with market research and incorporating into role efficiently
- Analytical skills, identifying opportunities and risks in a quick and decisive manner
- Comprehensive knowledge of the financial service markets and relevant regulatory requirements
- Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this
- Experience in operating on electronic market making infrastructure
- Experience in risk managing of derivatives portfolios
