About the Paralegal / Law Clerk position
We are looking for a reliable and bilingual (Spanish / English a plus) Immigration Paralegal / Law Clerk who will undertake a broad set of paralegal and clerical tasks, such as providing direct support to our Memphis attorney, speaking with and collecting information from immigration clients, and assisting in general administrative and office activities.
You should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize work using tools and software like Microsoft Outlook and Word.

Paralegal / Law Clerk responsibilities are:
Speak to clients to collect information and documents
Organize client documents for filings and case folders
Schedule client calls and new client appointments
Work with the firm's other offices to help with interpreting and translation
Arrange events, appointments and travels
Manage phone calls and correspondence (including email, memos, letters, faxes and forms)
Attend meetings and take detailed notes and minutes
Meet and support visitors
Prepare and submit expense reports
The Paralegal / Law Clerk requirements are:
Fluent in Spanish and English a plus
Able to work effectively in an autonomous and independent environment
Extremely organized and responsible, reliable, and responsive
Able to clearly explain complex processes
Very good oral and written communication skills
Strong attention to details with the ability to multi-task
Willing to learn new skills in immigration law and administration
Patient and helpful personality - clients are often indigent and/or have little education
Very good listener and learner
Good practical experience with MS Office, particularly MS Outlook and Word
Strong time management and problem solving skills with the ability to prioritize work
Experience and interest in immigration law a plus
Associates degree or higher
