    MEDICAL ASSISTANT / FRONT OFFICE for Central-LA Pediatrics Practice. This is an opportunity to work with a wonderful doctor group and staff with a good reputation, excellent staff and high level of patient care.

    ABOUT THE POSITION ** There is a strong training program that is customized to the worker! Energizing fast pace ensuring a smooth patient flow and optimum care. Looking for outgoing and great customer/patient service experience. Handle both Back Office and Front Office duties giving job flexibility and an opportunity to really get to know the patients and families. Training will start in the Back office then cross trained in the Front Office. Prepare digital charts ensuring all pertinent information is included prior to the patient's arrival. Room patients taking vitals, documenting medical history and information relating to that day’s visit. Assist doctors with minor procedures including well-child exams, ear lavage, finger sticks, vaccinations, urinalysis, suture removal and providing resources as directed by the doctor. Turn over rooms and manage supplies Call in prescriptions, coordinate medical releases and other patient requests

    REQUIREMENTS 2+ years' prior experience working as a medical assistant Experience in Urgent Care, Family Practice or Pediatrics is ideal Must be vaccinated and boosted for this position. High School diploma and Medical Assistant Certification required Upbeat personality to support parents and kids in maintaining good health habits Must like working with children and able to manage situations with the patients and parents during challenging moments, Have an ability to work AND FOCUS in a noisy atmosphere. Strong and confident skills in measuring, drawing up and giving injections Experience taking nasal, oral and blood samples, and preparing samples for lab work.

    SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION M-F 8-hour schedule 8am-5pm NO WORKING OVERTIME, NO NIGHTS and NO WORKING ON HOLIDAYS $19-$22/hr to start depending on level of experience Strong benefits package including 70% paid medical insurance for the employee, paid vacation, paid sick, paid holidays, and paid parking.
