    Job Overview:
    We are looking for experienced Temporary Services Electricians (J1–J4) to support electrical operations in a fast-paced shipyard environment. In this role, you will be responsible for providing and maintaining safe, reliable temporary power and lighting to ships, piers, and work sites. Candidates must be skilled in shipyard electrical practices, safety-conscious, and able to work as part of a team supporting critical maritime projects.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot temporary power and lighting systems for ships under repair and shipyard facilities.

    • Run, connect, and terminate shore power cables, extension cords, and distribution boxes.

    • Support power hookups for shipboard operations, dry dock projects, and heavy equipment.

    • Read and interpret electrical diagrams, shipyard drawings, and blueprints.

    • Perform inspections to ensure circuits, wiring, and connections are safe and compliant.

    • Respond quickly to electrical issues and support other trades with reliable power.

    • Maintain compliance with OSHA, NAVSEA, and other shipyard safety requirements.

    Qualifications:

    • Valid Electrician certification J1–J4.

    • Experience in a shipyard, marine, or industrial environment preferred.

    • Strong knowledge of temporary power distribution, grounding, and safety standards.

    • Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and around active shipboard operations.

    • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

    • Ability to pass drug screening and obtain required DBIDS or shipyard access credentials.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

    • Work in all weather conditions, enclosed spaces, and high-heat environments.

    • Stand, bend, and climb for extended periods.
