    Job Description

    Works With: Experience Pastor, Worship, Production, Online, Communications/Video, and Teaching Team.

    Primary Purpose: Organizes people and resources to be aligned with the overall vision of the Experience Team– supporting the Experience Pastor in executing effective, compelling and excellent live and online experiences at the Mariners Irvine Campus and providing support to other Mariners Congregations. Attributes for the Position: A passion for leading people and teams towards a common vision. Effectively communicates to each service stakeholder to ensure the cohesive and collaborative vision for the service is executed with excellence. Anticipates needs and handles conflict well; an organized and high functioning individual. Strong innate sense of prioritization and discernment. Artistic and technical sensibilities with high attention to detail. A team player who can encourage and build a volunteer team.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Weekend Services
    • Works with Experience Pastor, Production Director, Online Experience Director, Worship Pastor to support moments within Live and Online services. This includes graphics, special music, room environment, etc. 

    • Research creative elements for weekend services as needed. Knowledge of stories in our catalog to suggest for usage in services
    • Participate in creative planning teams, teaching meetings and facilitate weekly production meetings and debriefs.
    • Support the production process of services both Live and Online. (Includes: communication with contractors, preparing the room for filming [signage, etc])
    • Serve as the link between the creative teams, production team & teaching team; staying in tight communication leading up to the service/event. 


    • Ensure all display and graphic needs for teaching pastor and worship are entered into ProPresenter and are reviewed with teaching pastor.
    • Plan for props, site supplies, service flow, staging and collaboration with production team to ensure seamless transitions throughout the flow of the service. 

    • Produce weekend services: This includes ensuring all team members have arrived & calling production cues and service elements. 

    • Act as point person for guest speakers
    • Assist Experience Pastor in Initiating any changes that need to be made per
    • (i.e., service order, cutting elements, etc.).
    • Manages PCO across all Irvine venues and facilitates programming meetings
    • Provides leadership in look and feel of primary worship venues, including decor, furniture, and design. Primary coordinator of all venues.
    • Equip, empower, and lead a team of volunteers who will serve in all areas of the weekend experience.
    1. Project Management & The Service Preparation Process
    • Manages project elements including timelines, budgets, personnel and other resources  required to complete a project on time and within budgets. Lead in a peer to peer environment to ensure each department delivers service elements on time and within the given vision for a service. 

    • Participate in the creative development of projects and deliverables. 

    • Helps Experience Pastor communicate information to appropriate stakeholders
    1. Special Events & Projects
    • Run point on producing larger, more complex events and projects at Mariners per the Experience Pastor. Serving as a point, the producer will confer with ministry leaders ensuring project requirements are communicated. Guides the project's execution.
    • Performs executive producer responsibilities including on-site production, rehearsing presenters, assisting in the producing of video elements, calling certain shows and managing on-site changes.

    Qualifications

    • Knowledge of live production: including music, teaching, multimedia, with a passion for top quality production & excellence.
    • Knowledge of Adobe Suite with emphasis on Premier - graphics, file management, format delivery, final formats, etc.
    • Proven ability to lead and work with all levels of staff and volunteers.
    • Proficiency in ProPresenter and other presentation software.
    • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to multi-task, problem solve and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong team player who is enthusiastic and enjoys people and building teams
