    Job Description

    The Global Outreach Coordinator of Mariners Outreach is the primary support for the global outreach team. The Global Outreach Coordinator supports the mission of Mariners Church to inspire people to follow Jesus and fearlessly change the world through the following functions:

    GLOBAL ADMINISTRATION

    Optimizes efficiency for  Global Outreach and Global Movement pastors by coordinating schedules, emails, workflow, and meeting preparations. Champions hospitality through the management of  event logistics and planning of partner visits. Prioritizes key action items and follow-up tasks by serving as team note-taker. 

    FAITH ADVENTURES

    Support the development of the Global Engagement Strategy through the coordinating of Mariners Faith Adventures (short-term global trips). Provides an excellent experience for volunteers through managing trip logistics and bookings. Equip volunteers through management of trip trainings and materials. 

    PROGRAM AND MINISTRY DEVELOPMENT

    Assist  in the development  of global leaders through the global residency program by assisting with program recruitment, applicant placement, program logistics, and resident experience while in-country. Grow the ESL ministry through the development of ministry strategy, volunteer recruitment, training, and care. Curate and share stories of God working through our global family through the creation and execution of the Global Outreach newsletter. Oversee and care for the Outreach Ministries’ Missionary Care program.

    MISCELLANEOUS

    Support general administrative functions in support of the global team such as being proficient in our volunteer mobilization workflow, financial systems, and general support as needs arise and capacity permits. Assist  in  general  outreach opportunities  by  being able to  host orientations and debriefs  in an effort to inspire people to follow Jesus and fearlessly change the world.

    • Would be able to cast the vision of Outreach Ministries
    • Has a personal passion for both global outreach and Mariners Church community life
    • Customer service attitude and energy
    • Proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
    • Possess good organizational skills and efficient work characteristics
    • Strong computer skills with experience in various software programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Suite)
    • Excellent interpersonal skills working with staff and volunteers
    • Ability to handle details, complex schedules and control of their own schedule
