Job Description

The Outreach Coordinator provides support to the Local & Global Engagement Pastors and Local Outreach ministry teams. This individual serves as the front door to local outreach ministries and is passionate about educating others about local engagement opportunities, building teams, and recruiting leaders that equip their teams to serve in impactful ways within Outreach at Mariners Church.

The Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for the following:

• Administration: Provide administrative support to the Global and Local Engagement Pastors and outreach team (e.g. scheduling and meeting preparation, maintaining calendars, preparing materials and orders for projects, database and financial coordination)
• Coordinating: Oversee various Outreach projects, events, and teams as needed for both local and global. Provides support to Outreach ministries as needed. Uphold and promote the vision and values of Mariners Church and Outreach.
• Volunteers: Assist with volunteer onboarding, registration and coordination for various events.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Possess good organizational skills and efficient work characteristics
• Strong computer skills: PC system and various software programs (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Excellent interpersonal skills working with staff and volunteers
• Ability to handle details, complex schedules and control of their own schedule
• Proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Ability to identify, develop, and oversee volunteer leaders
