    Job Description

    The Men’s and Women’s Ministry Coordinator will primarily oversee areas of leadership including, but not limited to - lifegroups, serve opportunities, and Rooted recruitment, database entries.  Responsibilities will include resourcing, training and organizing our life group leaders, partnering with other ministries at Mariners to provide monthly serve opportunities and on-campus serve experiences, and implementing various discipleship tools. 

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Care for the needs of people contacting our ministry and provide assistance and resources in a loving and timely manner.
    • Responsible for managing calendars, leadership invitations, meeting reminders, and registration forms for the ministries.
    • Provide administrative support for all programs, events, meetings, and retreats.
    • Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies, maintaining records and database systems, etc.
    • Submit requests to Communications any print or graphic needs, website updates and editing existing materials.
    • Maintain database inquiries, updates, volunteer files, pulling weekly/monthly ministry reports.
    • Support the administrative needs of volunteer leaders and place value on them.
    • Responsible for the planning and execution of catering needs for specific ministry events and/or meetings.
    • Process expenditures including check requests, reimbursements, etc.
    • Implement and manage event logistics including facility work orders, room reservations, phone calls, meeting request emails, catering, IT, etc.
    • Provide administrative assistance for retreats, special events, conferences, etc.
    • Required to attend monthly staff meetings and any other all staff meetings or activities.
    • The role will be split time between Men’s & Women’s

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 2-3 years of ministry experience or relevant work experience.
    • Must be committed to Mariners Church Statement of Faith, Mariners Mission and Values.
    • Actively attends and involved at Mariners Church.
    • Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to stimulate ideas, take initiative and lead others.
    • Must exercise exceptional judgement in dealing with sensitive and personal issues.Able to graciously interact with and respond to church members and others in a Christian, caring, personable and professional way.
    • A teachable, caring, and compassionate spirit with a high degree of integrity, responsibility, confidentiality and a desire to learn.
    • Comfortable working with applications in Google Suite.
    • Ability to occasionally work on weekends and evenings.
