    Job Description

    Are you passionate about creating compelling online content? Do you love social media? Do you get excited about connecting and building a social community? Do you take pride in customer service excellence? Are you interested in living in the intersection of faith, church, and culture? We seek a highly a motivated individual with experience and passion in content creation for blogging, social media and community participation leadership.

    • Develop online community presence through quick and personal responses as Mariners Church
    • Cultivate Digital Volunteer Team to help with social posting, responses and engagement
    • Monitor trends in social media applications, channels, platforms, design and strategy
    • Create and edit video content for social media platforms - specifically short video clips of sermons, etc.
    • Analyze key metrics, track and report bi-monthly and tweak strategy as needed
    • Help create and execute digital marketing/advertising primarily through Facebook, but also through Instagram and other new outlets as they develop
    • Cultivate, develop and engage Mariners live online community
    • Be present for all weekend services to post to our facebook and instagram stories
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Web content management through various content systems
    • Writing, editing, and proofreading content for web & social media channels
    • Coverage of church events and daily posts/tweets to all applicable social media outlets
    • Partnering with ministries to ensure proper online messaging and relevancy, ensure consistency of messages across multiple networks
    • Coordinate web projects across ministries and teams
    • Maintain look/feel throughout all web & social media channels
    • Develop content calendar
    • Responsible for executing the voice for all aspects of the organization’s online presence. 
    • Execute email newsletters, and online outreach campaigns via social media
    • Stay current on social media & web trends through research
    • Bachelor's degree preferred
    • Excellent written communication 
    • Proven time management skills 
    • Ability to multi-task and problem solve
    • Attention to detail
    • Ability to quickly adapt when a need arises
    • A team player, flexible when various projects and needs arise
    • Competency with Crello, Canva, Unfold, or Adobe
