  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Manage chapel and chapel office inventory supplies to preserve pristine chapel environment and to ensure smooth operation of events
    • Manage weekly volunteer schedule for chapel maintenance
    • Manage intake and scheduling of memorial requests
    • Personally meet with families planning memorial services
    • Coordinate memorial logistics such as booking event services needed (tech and/or catering), securing an officiant, and assigning a day of memorial coordinator
    • Provide exceptional care for grieving families during memorial planning process
    • Administrative support for Pastoral Ministry Pastor by assisting with database support, reimbursements, a monthly newsletter, and scheduling counseling appointments
    • Manage onboarding process for all Prayer Team volunteers. Conduct new prayer team interviews
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Must respond timely to messages and have flexibility in weekly hours to address incoming memorial requests
    • Must be organized and detail oriented
    • Must have strong relational, communication and follow through skills
    • Must have exceptional customer service and execute tasks with excellence
    • Ability to care for families seeking memorials support with compassion and be proactive to meet planning deadlines
    • Proficiency with Google suite (gmail, sheets, doc) and Zoom, and ability to learn navigation through ministry database (ROCK), if not already proficient
    • Team player, experience collaborating with others and building a volunteer team
