Job Description

This role exists to serve the Youth Department to ensure a productive, organized and thriving work culture and support the church’s mission.

• Embody the Mariners vision and execute the annual Youth Ministry plan.
• Create a weekly experience and intentional environment that engages the unchurched and inspires the regular attender.
• Organize and execute ministry teams, student leadership, discipleship, meetings, events, camps, etc.
• Organize life groups for high school students.
• Coordinate serve opportunities and faith adventures.
• Assist in recruiting, developing, and caring for volunteers.
• Engage with students, teachers and coaches at local High Schools.
• Assist in executing creative ministries (design, online and social media).
• Coordinate and maintain Master Calendar for High School events.
• Assist in execution of Action Items.
• Assist in managing the day-to-day accounting and budget.
• Help facilitate meetings with staff and volunteers: content, clarity, consistency of meetings, trainings, etc.

Qualifications

• An intimate and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• A love and passion for families (adults, parents, and high school students).
• Strong relational and communication skills (including both oral and written skills).
• One year experience in a church or organization, successfully meeting administrative expectations preferred.
• Advanced computer skills and experience with multiple application programs.
• Demonstrated customer services skills and administrative skills.
• Ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff.
• Ability to manage and balance complex schedules and details.
• Available to attend and/or assist with set-up, registration, or other needs for specific High School Ministry or Youth Ministry events.
• Sensitivity to confidential matters is required.
