Shape and execute the adult worship weekend experience at a high level, in partnership with the congregational Lead Pastor
Serve as the primary worship leader (leading worship, directing music rehearsals) at the congregation most weekends. This includes singing and playing an instrument (as necessary) with excellence.
Build & grow volunteer ministry teams (worship & production) related to the weekend worship experience by recruiting, developing, and caring for volunteer teams (which includes deploying, coaching, and investing in future volunteer worship leaders).
Serve the volunteer worship team by providing leadership, timely communication, mentorship, and relationship to this team. Other responsibilities include weekly preparation (lyrics, chord charts, vocal and band part memorization), preparing weekly band/vocal notes, communicating service details, scheduling worship volunteers through Planning Center Online, leading rehearsals, printing charts, and finalizing weekly setlists.
Stay up to date on current worship trends
Attend or lead worship for Story Time, Staff Meetings, and other Irvine worship related events
Maintain a relationship with Irvine Worship Pastor and work in partnership with other congregation worship leaders to integrate best practices, systems, and worship values.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Strong leader who is able to build and maintain volunteer ministry teams.
Strong worship leader & vocalist. Must play an instrument.
Able to articulate in a clear and compelling way on the stage.
Ability to communicate essential musical details to vocalists and all instruments and function as music director for rehearsals
Prior experience leading worship.
Able to perform high quality, detailed work with minimum supervision within assigned deadlines.
