Job Description
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department (AR, AP, Payroll)
- Manage and develop the accounting team
- Monitor department workflows to develop efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy and strong internal controls
- Partner with Payroll Manager to serve as backup
- Prepare and file tax returns
- Assist with annual audit, accounting tasks, and ad hoc projects as needed
- Assist with fixed assets
Qualifications
- 7-10 years of relevant work experience in Accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business
- Knowledgeable in AR, AP, payroll, imputed tax, sales tax, GAAP
- Experience with supervising staff
- Detailed, analytical, organized, and able to apply discretion with confidential information
- Strong collaboration, communication, and problem solving skills
- Self driven and adaptable to change
- Proficient with Google Suite, Excel, ERP software
