    Job Description

    The Women’s Pastor will be part of the pastoral team of the church.  This person will lead a talented team of staff and volunteers in all of our congregations to deliver innovative and creative approaches towards engaging women of all backgrounds towards deepening their relationship with Jesus.

    • Communicate and support the vision, mission, values of Mariners Church and be committed to discipleship through groups.
    • Oversee the multiplication process of current Women’s Life Groups through Rooted and other discipleship onramps.
    • Recruit, train, and equip new Women’s Life Group leaders and volunteers.
    • Oversee volunteer leaders and lead meetings for Mariners Women’s volunteers
    • Invite and engage women into Rooted and Life Groups.
    • Lead evangelism and discipleship efforts and strategies for reaching women
    • Lead, disciple, shepherd, and pray with Women’s Life Group leaders.
    • Oversee MOPs Ministry (Moms of preschoolers).
    • Implement quarterly women’s events and/or social gatherings that reach women inside our church and outside in our community.
    • Collaborate with other ministry leaders to aid in a strong intergenerational and multi-ethnic ministry.
    • Manage the administration needs and annual budget of the Women’s Ministry.
    • Offer initial, short-term counsel to those needing Biblical direction, advice, and crisis assistance, and then make referrals for ongoing counsel as needed.
    • Plan and organize women’s on campus and online  studies and ensure that they are on-ramps to Rooted or Life group opportunities.
    • Serve on the community life team and assist in other adult ministry opportunities.
    • Fulfill pastoral responsibilities during the week and on weekends.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination or education and ministry experience. 
    • 7-10 years of experience in church ministry or other ministry.
    • Actively involved in the local church.
    • Doctrinal integrity - able to understand, teach, and admonish others in the doctrinal statement of the church.
    • Exhibits personal and growing relationship with God through the Word and prayer.
    • Creates and cultivates a culture that inspires people.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams of volunteers and staff.
    • Able to perform pastoral duties such as administering the sacraments, weddings, memorials, pastoral care and counseling.
    • Comfortable working in Google, social network platforms, and virtual technologies.
