    The Market Director of Sales is a key strategic leader responsible for driving top-line revenue across a designated portfolio of hotels within a specific market. This position leads, mentors, and supports on-property sales leaders, develops and executes strategic sales initiatives, manages key owner relationships, and collaborates closely with revenue, marketing, and operations teams. Responsibilities: Sales Leadership & Strategy • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for all hotels within the market. • Actively engage in proactive selling, including solicitation of key accounts, developing new business, and building relationships with top-tier clients across all market segments. • Support and guide property-level Directors of Sales and sales teams in daily operations, strategic account management, and performance execution. • Conduct regular property visits to ensure alignment with company sales standards, provide coaching, and reinforce accountability. Owner Relations & Communication • Serve as the primary liaison with hotel owners and asset managers on all sales-related matters. • Communicate sales performance, market trends, opportunities, and strategic plans clearly and effectively to ownership and senior leadership. • Participate in ownership calls and meetings, providing data-driven insights and recommendations. Revenue Forecasting & Budgeting • Lead sales input into the forecasting process, collaborating with revenue management to ensure alignment with business demand and market conditions. • Partner with general managers and property leadership to develop and manage annual sales budgets and marketing plans. • Analyze performance trends and adjust strategies accordingly to optimize revenue across the portfolio. Team Development & Culture • Hire, train, and develop high-performing sales leaders across the market. • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence. • Provide regular performance feedback, coaching, and professional development opportunities. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field (or equivalent work experience). • Minimum 4 years of sales leadership experience in hospitality, preferably in a multi-property or above-property role. • Proven success in proactive selling and business development. • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and planning. • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, including experience managing owner relations. • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. • Proficiency in CRM systems and hotel sales technologies (e.g., Delphi, CI/TY, Salesforce, etc.). Work Environment: • Travel is required up to 50% within the assigned market. • Hybrid flexibility may be available based on business needs. Compensation: $100,000 - $110,000 yearly
