Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and community-driven Local Marketing Coordinator to join our team in Tucson, AZ. This role will focus on building brand awareness, driving student enrollment, supporting events, and fostering community engagement. The ideal candidate is organized, outgoing, and passionate about music and youth development.
Key Responsibilities
Local Marketing Execution
Plan, coordinate, and execute grassroots marketing campaigns to promote the school and drive student leads.
Develop and distribute marketing collateral (flyers, posters, banners) in the Tucson area.
Support digital marketing efforts by creating localized content for social media, email campaigns, and the school website.
Community Engagement
Establish and maintain partnerships with local schools, businesses, community centers, and music venues.
Attend and represent School of Rock at community events, fairs, and concerts to build awareness and collect leads.
Organize and promote local events, such as open houses, student showcases, and seasonal concerts.
Lead Generation & Data Management
Track and report on local marketing initiatives and lead generation performance.
Assist with CRM data entry and lead follow-up coordination when necessary.
Creative Input
Assist in developing fun, engaging, and brand-aligned content that appeals to students and parents in the Tucson community.
Provide local insight and ideas to enhance national marketing initiatives.
Qualifications
1+ years of experience in marketing, communications, event planning, or related field (music/education experience a plus)
Strong knowledge of the Tucson area and local community culture
Proficient in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) and basic design tools (e.g., Canva)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects
Energetic, outgoing, and comfortable engaging with people of all ages
Passion for music and/or music education is a strong plus
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local travel
