Marketing Intern — Hello San Diego Internship · 10–12 hours/week · Hybrid (Remote + In-Person, San Diego) Internship position provides educational experience, which serves as compensation. Hello San Diego is looking for a creative, San Diego–loving intern to help grow our website and social media presence. If you're someone who's always discovering cool spots around the city, knows your way around Canva, and gets excited about a reel that pops off, we'd love to hear from you. This is a great opportunity to build a real portfolio across multiple platforms while learning the ins and outs of running a local lifestyle brand — from content creation to strategy to the business side of building an online community. What You'll Do • Capture iPhone content around San Diego for reels, carousels, and story posts • Schedule and publish finished content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube, plus post daily trial reels • Design flyers and carousel slides in Canva that match our brand look and feel • Research post ideas — upcoming events, outdoor activities, and all things San Diego living • Write blog posts for the Hello San Diego website and publish them through our backend • Assist with preparing and sending our weekly newsletter • Track social media analytics and help identify what's working (and what's not) • Use AI tools to streamline workflows and improve output • Opportunity to contribute to higher-level content strategy, website flow, and brand direction The Details • 10–12 hours per week • 3-month summer internship • Hybrid schedule — a mix of remote work and in-person days around San Diego • Flexible scheduling around your classes • Course credit available if desired (must be arranged through your school) What You'll Get • Real-world experience managing content for an active local brand • Portfolio pieces across web, social, and design • Mentorship and direct feedback on your work • An inside look at San Diego's local content and small-business scene • A behind-the-scenes view of how a lifestyle brand and real estate partnership work together Responsibilities: See job description for responsibilities. Qualifications: What We're Looking For • Currently enrolled in a college or university program • Local to San Diego with reliable transportation (must have a car) • Comfortable shooting video on an iPhone • Familiar with Canva and the major social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube) • Proficient with Google Calendar and Google Drive • Strong eye for visuals and attention to detail • Self-starter who can pitch ideas and explore the city for content • Bonus: You know San Diego well and have a list of favorite hidden spots
