With over 50 franchise locations and rapidly expanding, HomeSmiles is a fast-growing national home services brand launching in Charleston and Hilton Head — and we’re looking for a Marketing Intern with social media experience to help grow the brand locally.
This is a hybrid role — you’ll work remotely, in-office, and out in the field. You’ll collaborate directly with the business owner to grow brand awareness through content creation, social media management, and field marketing. Expect to visit job sites to capture engaging photos and video content, schedule and manage posts across platforms, and help drive local buzz.
You’ll also support grassroots marketing efforts like attending local networking events and distributing door hangers in key neighborhoods.
It’s a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience, grow your portfolio, and make a measurable impact from day one.
Responsibilities:
Manage Instagram, Facebook, Google, and other platforms — actively engage with followers by responding to comments and direct messages, creating buzz, and driving interest in the HomeSmiles brand
Use PromoRepublic to schedule and organize all social media posts, ensuring consistent, on-brand content across platforms
Distribute door hangers in local neighborhoods to generate leads
Capture high-quality photos and videos on job sites (e.g., before/after shots, team in action, customer testimonials)
Create short-form video content (Reels, Stories, TikToks, etc.) to highlight services and brand personality
Monitor social media engagement and report insights or suggestions for improvement
Help manage and maintain our brand voice and online reputation
Follow up with customers to request and encourage positive Google reviews
Attend business networking events to promote the brand and build local awareness
Requirements:
Experience with major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Google, TikTok, Canva, CapCut, PromoRepublic, etc.)
Strong attention to detail, creativity, and ability to work independently
Reliable transportation for field work
Interest in marketing, media, business, or entrepreneurship
