    Job Description

    Position Overview

    We are seeking a motivated and creative Marketing Intern to join our team in Washington State. As a Marketing Intern at Silfab Solar, you will gain hands-on experience working with the leading North American solar cell and panel manufacturer, collaborating with experienced professionals across our North American team, and gaining insights within key areas of marketing, including communications, digital and content strategy, design, and practical knowledge of the tools, processes, and strategies behind a fast-paced, mission-driven marketing department.

    Learning & Development Opportunities

    • Gain experience in SEO, content strategy, and social media planning by utilizing enterprise tools such as BrightEdge and other analytics platforms.
    • Learn to manage and update content in a corporate CMS, directly contributing to the performance and branding of a high-growth B2B website.
    • Collaborate with a skilled in-house marketing team and external creative agencies, gaining insights into project workflows, brand alignment, and vendor relationships.
    • Develop skills in digital asset management by organizing and maintaining our internal and external Asset Library to support brand consistency across various markets.
    • Contribute to video and photo production projects while supporting product and brand storytelling through shooting, editing, and content deployment.
    • Support a clean-tech brand at the forefront of solar manufacturing innovation, with insight into how marketing aligns with product development and business strategy.
    • Engage in campaign planning and execution, providing creative input while learning best practices in project coordination, copywriting, and content design.
    • Work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, gaining firsthand experience in how marketing aids sales enablement, partnerships, and customer engagement.

    Key Responsibilities

    Content & Social Media

    • Schedule and publish social media content while assisting with graphic design as needed, collaborating with both the internal team and external agency
    • Monitor engagement metrics and recommend enhancements
    • Help write copy for blog posts, email newsletters, and campaign content
    • Assist in managing the content calendar and campaign timelines
    • Develop or modify short-form video content and basic animations for use on social media or the website

    Digital Marketing & Web

    • Support updates for the website (landing pages, news items, product updates)
    • Perform keyword research and support implementation to enhance SEO and SEM initiatives
    • Help test and ensure quality assurance on web pages for usability and accuracy

    Design & Media

    • Assist in creating marketing collateral such as flyers, digital ads, and presentations across departments
    • Edit and compile short video clips for promotional content or internal use
    • Organize photo and video libraries for marketing use

    Campaigns & Analytics

    • Support the execution of marketing campaigns
    • Research competitors, industry trends, and audience insights

    Project & Admin Support

    • Attend marketing team meetings and contribute ideas
    • Coordinate with vendors or external agencies on simple deliverables
    • Coordinate outgoing shipments of marketing assets to partners, coordinating logistics with internal shipping & receiving with guidance
    • Help organize events such as trade shows
    • Participate in ad hoc projects and cross-functional team support as assigned
  • Qualifications

    Required Qualifications

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint & Excel).
    • Familiarity with or willingness to learn tools such as CMS platforms, BrightEdge, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and social media scheduling tools.
    • Some experience or familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, X), basic graphic design, or content tools (e.g., Canva or Adobe Creative Suite).

    Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

    • Experience with social media content creation, graphic design, or video editing is a plus.
    • Experience in communication writing
    • Interest in analytical and research comparison
    • Basic video editing skills (e.g., Adobe Premiere, CapCut, or similar).
    • Basic knowledge of marketing principles and digital media.
    • Interest in renewable energy, sustainability, or clean technology.
    • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
    • Experience with social media content creation, graphic design, or video editing is a plus.

    Educational Background

    • Enrolled in a degree/diploma in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, Public Relations, Graphic Design, or a related field
    • Previous co-op or internship experience is an asset, but not required
