    Melbourne Main Street is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to revitalizing Historic Downtown Melbourne, Florida, through public and private partnerships. We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, and creative Marketing & Events Manager to strategically plan, coordinate, and execute all marketing and event-related activities. This role requires a highly organized, tech-savvy professional with strong financial acumen to manage events ranging from intimate gatherings to large-scale productions of up to 10,000 attendees. This is a results-driven role requiring flexibility, professional autonomy, and focus. It is not a traditional 9–5 position; it often requires evening, weekend, and on-site participation, as well as the ability to work remotely or in focused environments when appropriate. Responsibilities: • Plan and Execute Events: Oversee all aspects of event management, including concept development, logistics, vendor negotiation/contracting, site coordination (venues, transportation, equipment), and on-site management. This position has a requirement for the following current events: the organization and board of directors encourage the exploration of new and additional events, which can tie back to additional compensation on a performance-based basis. • Current List of Major Events (subject to change over time): • Downtown Botanical Fest • Puttapalooza • Trash Bash • Trick or Treat • Candlelight Shopping Series • Downtown Food & Wine Festival (or replacement) • Budget Management: Develop and manage event budgets, determine costs, and ensure fiscal responsibility. • Marketing Strategy: Develop, implement, and analyze comprehensive marketing strategies across all channels to drive awareness, attendance, and revenue. • Content & Digital Proficiency: Manage the organization's website (WordPress) and all social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Meta Business Suite), ensuring brand compliance. Must be proficient in CANVA, Google Analytics, mass email marketing tools (e.g., Constant Contact), and AI tools. • Team & Vendor Management: Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers. Effectively manage and direct all vendors, entertainment, decor, catering, and attendee lists. • Accountability & Professionalism: Develop detailed timelines, ensure team adherence to deadlines and directives, and maintain a consistently professional demeanor with acute situational awareness in all public interactions. Qualifications: • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in marketing and event management. A High School Diploma is acceptable with a minimum of 6 years of relevant, successful experience. • Technical Skills: Deep proficiency in digital marketing tools, analytics platforms, and the MS Office/Google Workspace suite. • Core Skills: Expertise in marketing strategy and execution, event logistics, budget control, and data-driven decision-making. Possess excellent customer service and relationship-building skills. • Bonus Points: Experience in the non-profit sector or relevant project management certifications. Compensation: $50,000
