M&RR is a full-service market research and insights company based in Frederick, MD.This is a part-time, approximately 24 hour/week position. At least two days will be in our Frederick, MD office. As the Finance Director, some of the tasks you would be responsible for are:
Supervising the day-to-day accounting and payroll to ensure accuracy
Monitoring ongoing company profitability
Cash flow monitoring and projections
Quarterly preparation of detailed financial statements and supporting workpapers
Tax planning and projections
Review of customer and vendor contracts
Review and renewal of insurance policies Administration of 401k plan (shared role)
Assist with various Human Resources tasks (shared role)
Backup resource for accounting and administration staff
Attend finance and steering committee meetings
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or CPA designation
Experience preparing GAAP based financial statement, 3 years minimum
Experience with tax planning and projections, 3 years minimum
Experience with 401k plan administration
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and preferably Sage Accounting
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Professional communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Superb attention to detail Human Resource experience preferred
