M&RR is a full-service market research and insights company based in Frederick, MD.This is a part-time, approximately 24 hour/week position, preferably either three 8-hour days or four 6-hour days. A minimum of two days will be in our Frederick, MD office. As the Finance Director, some of the tasks you would be responsible for are:
Overseeing the day-to-day accounting and payroll to ensure accuracy
Monitoring ongoing company profitability
Cash flow monitoring and projections
Reconciliations and closings, and preparing detailed accrual financial statements and supporting workpapers
Tax planning and projections
Fixed asset management and depreciation
Review of customer and vendor contracts
Review and renewal of insurance policies
Administration of 401k plan
Assist with various Human Resources tasks
Backup resource for Accounting and Administration
Attend finance and steering committee meetings
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or CPA designation
Experience preparing GAAP based financial statement, 3 years minimum
Experience with book-tax conversion and tax planning and projections, 3 years minimum
Experience with 401k plan administration
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and preferably Sage Accounting
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Professional communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Superb attention to detail Human Resource experience preferred
