    Imperative Recruiting is a 3rd party recruiting agency working on behalf of Black Innovation Alliance (BIA): 

    Black Innovation Alliance is the premier growth engine for Black small businesses shaping tomorrow's economy. We're not a legacy nonprofit running slow. We operate like a startup; fast, focused, and constantly evolving, because the businesses we serve can't afford for us to move any other way.

    We're looking for a Marketing & Social Media Manager who sees content as a form of power. Someone who understands that the right message, delivered at the right moment, can change how a movement is perceived. Someone who leads with craft, moves with urgency, and doesn't need to be managed to stay ahead of a trend.

    This is a fully remote, full-time role paying $65,000–$72,000 per year, with four all-expenses-paid team retreats, unlimited PTO after 90 days, and two full weeks off at the end of the year. You'll work from wherever you do your best thinking.

    Here's what the job actually looks like. You'll run BIA's social media presence end to end, more than just executing a content calendar but actively studying performance, testing new formats, and making real-time calls about what's working. You'll design graphics, build presentations, and create short-form video content that reflects the sophistication of our brand and the boldness of our mission. You'll support email marketing campaigns from build to deployment to analysis. And you'll use AI tools not as a shortcut but as a genuine force multiplier, finding smarter ways to work so the quality of output keeps going up.

    The candidate we're looking for has three to five years of real marketing experience with results to show for it. Results. You've grown an audience, improved a campaign, built something that measurably performed better because you were on it. You're a strong writer, a capable designer, a fluent video editor, and you're comfortable with data. You don't need someone to hand you a strategy, you can read the signals and make one.
