Marketopia is seeking a full-time experienced Accounting Manager with a minimum of 4+ years’ experience. Candidate must have the ability to work independently and as an integral part of the accounting team.
The Accounting Manager is an important contributor to the team, supporting several business units of the Company. Advanced working knowledge of QuickBooks Online is required. Excel experience is a must including pivot tables, filters, v-lookups and other advanced Excel features. The main duties for this position are cash activities, month-end close duties and general ledger account maintenance and reconciliations and support to the Accounts Receivable function.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Credit card payment processing
Handle daily banking activities and reconciliations
Prepare/distribute daily/weekly reports * Accounts Receivable
Handle payment application into billing systems
Execute customer account clean-up/adjustments Prepare customer account reconciliations as needed * Prepare agent commissions, distribute reports, provide analytics, as needed
Fixed Assets
Maintain database(s) and roll forwards
Post monthly depreciation * Prepare and complete month-end close duties as assigned to include:
General ledger account reconciliations
Prepare close work papers * Special projects, ad hoc reporting, and other responsibilities as needed
Bi-weekly payroll for both exempt and non-exempt team members
Accounts Payable participation and oversight
Daily reconciliations of various accounts
Daily cash position updates
Monthly Balance Sheet account reconciliations including inter-company accounts and bank reconciliations
Analysis of substantial amounts of data with the use of Excel
Ability to process 20+ transactions per day
Requirements:
A minimum 4-year Degree in Accounting or Finance is required with 4+ years working experience, a MA in Accounting with 4+ years’ experience or an advanced MBA Degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 4+ years working experience
Accounts receivable/collection experience
General ledger experience
Advanced to proficient in Excel and all other Microsoft products
Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Online
Preferred knowledge of Bill.com and Connect Booster bill automation software
Strong attention to detail
Strong communication skills to all levels of the organization
Must possess the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
Must be a self-starter
Must be able to multi-task and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Background in Cost Accounting is a plus
Must be innovative, resourceful, and disciplined when resolving technical challenges
IT service provider or MSP experience preferred
