Mid-sized E&P operator in Houston seeking to hire someone to head up the company's ESG program. This is a newly created position who will work closely with senior management to ensure adherence of the company's environmental strategy. This person will lead initiatives that will advance those strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Develop compliance programs and ensure adherence with federal, states, and regulatory bodies
• Provide insight to help achieve goals regarding GHG emissions 
• Communicate on emerging public policy and environmental issues
• Provide support as part of the Sustainability Management Committee
• Update internal parties on any developments on environmental compliance 
• Handle 3rd party inquiries as it relates to Sustainability & ESG disclosures
• Lead climate risk assessment initiatives and scenario analysis

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree 
• 8+ years of Oil & Gas Experience
• Broad knowledge of GHG emissions topics, operations, and regulatory environment for upstream operators.
