    Marlow is a professional development platform offering personalized coaching, activities, and curated resources to managers and emerging leaders. We believe everyone benefits when individuals have access to the resources they need to take the lead on their professional development. We help companies scale their learning and development efforts so more of their team members can achieve their professional goals.

    ​We care a lot about our members: their coaching experience, their privacy, and their progress. Individuals who have access to coaches improve their performance, their confidence, and even their happiness. We believe in the value of coaching and a growth mindset and are on a mission to extend these resources to more professionals. 

    We launched Marlow in 2017 and are growing quickly. We are always looking for experienced HR, people operations, learning and development professionals or people managers passionate about development to join us!

    Our coaches are the core of the Marlow experience and play a vital role in helping Marlow members make progress in their careers. Please note, you must be eligible to work in the US. This is a variable contract position. 

    As a Marlow Coach, you are responsible for personalizing each member's experience by:

    • Connecting their goals and needs to an impactful coaching focus
    • Building a coaching plan based on the member's needs using the Marlow curriculum
    • Customizing relevant activities and resources and curating new content or approaches as needed
    • Structuring coaching calls and chat conversations so they are effective and impactful for your member's individual communication and learning style
    • Reflecting on past topics or trends, reinforcing learnings, and adjusting the coaching plan as needed

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide top-tier coaching support to your Marlow members via Marlow's coaching process utilizing the coaching chat dashboard, video, and voice calls
    • Help Marlow members identify their goals and work with them to create a structured, actionable coaching plan
    • Personalize the Marlow experience by sharing and customizing Marlow activities, curated content, and coaching plans  
    • Conduct coaching conversations using traditional coaching techniques and tools as well as learning and development frameworks in Marlow's core skills
    • Stay in the know on cutting edge industry standards in coaching, learning and development, and adult and digital learning

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • MISSION-DRIVEN. Our goal is to extend these professional and learning and development resources to professionals at all levels of career development and we need team members who are flexible to do the work required to reach that goal
    • EXPERIENCE IN PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT. Our coaches all have at least 5 years of robust Human Resources, People Operations, Learning, and Development or Talent Development. 
    • EXPERTISE IN LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT. We will train the right person on the Marlow coaching structure but we are looking for individuals with a growth mindset. We value critical thinking skills, grit, and an insane amount of curiosity. Whether it's through formal training or your favorite podcast we expect you to know the definition of EQ, the latest feedback frameworks, best practices in situational leadership, and other L&D topics. 
    • CERTIFIED. An ACC or equivalent coaching certification and 3-5 years of experience coaching. One to one formal, virtual coaching is a plus but we are open to discussing equivalent coaching experience. 
    • SERVICE MENTALITY. No job is too small. A genuine desire to help people shape the direction of their careers. We are looking for good listeners, who see the best in everyone with a strong EQ. 
    • STRONG DIGITAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS AND GENERAL TECH KNOWLEDGE. We are building a professional development platform and we need people who are scrappy with a variety of technical resources and an understanding of product development to help us continue to develop the best digital coaching experience. 
    • ABILITY TO WORK AT SCALE. Our goal is to extend these valuable resources to more professionals. You need to be organized, detail-oriented, able to switch context quickly, and a systems thinker with a good memory. We will share tips and tricks but expect you will bring some too.
