SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE, WEDDINGS AND SPECIAL EVENTS

Reporting to the Regional Sales Director, the AE owns wedding and special event sales efforts throughout the Chicago branch. As a key leader of Marquee’s brand relaunch, this individual will initially guide the selection and design of a downtown showroom, lead customer advisory panels, align with industry associations and guide a multi-million dollar product investment.

After the initial launch and as a part of Marquee's newly enhanced offering, the Account Executive is responsible for producing and executing to an annual strategic business plan. This will be accomplished through a combination of industry functions, client meetings, showroom events, and most importantly, by leveraging their industry reputation and relationships.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years of wedding, catering and special event sales. Experience must include cultivation of relationships and new business development
• Established reputation in the Chicago market. Your presence should bring opportunity
• Extensive knowledge of design trends and an established plan on staying ahead of the industry
• Advanced level knowledge of design and floorplan software systems
• Custom proposal design

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate with clients to uncover event vison and gather all event detail necessary to develop a proposal
• Prepares or oversees the entry of customer orders and production schedules/ timelines; verifies entered orders for accuracy; works with clients on revisions/ additions.
• Management of client profiles
• Attend events and manage client relationships
• Assist in post-event follow up (collecting reviews, photos and partner vendor information)
• Brand Evangelist – attending or coordinating Marquee’s participation in industry events, bridal shows, photo shoots and networking functions
