Our supply chain logistics company is seeking a Data Analyst to join their team! Although our company has been around for 20+ years, we still provide that great startup feel as we are continuing to expand our cold supply chain services internationally. The Data Analyst we are looking for will design scripts and programs to perform specific database functions and to analyze and maintain data. Experience with SQL and a background in Logistics in required for this role. This is a full-time permanent role with full benefits! DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • integrate data from multiple data sets into one database system to streamline information. • program specific database functions to create database triggers and design data tables. • after reviewing and analyzing data, design reports to show statistics and other information about specific database topics. Come up with new ideas about value- adding data sets and analysis that helps in our logistics decisions and for client information. • remove dead data files and other irrelevant information to free up database space. • write scripts to analyze data and perform specific data queries. • isolate and resolve issues with data and databases • collect data from multiple sources and add it to the database. • look for data in our operational systems that can be the base for new dashboards and analytics to automate our work flows and reporting.
SQL DATA ANALYST SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS • Programming – strong programming skills, particularly in SQL, structured query language, and other common programming languages • Computer skills – highly advanced computer skills are required for this job • Mathematics – use math to write complex scripts and queries in SQL and other programming languages • Analytical thinking – sharp analytical thinking to analyze specific data sets and statistics • Attention to detail – highly detail oriented to write SQL programs and monitor data • Multitasking –work with multiple data sources and data sets, which requires a talent for multitasking • Team player and pro-active • Self-driven, independent work planning and task management • On-time: Delivers on time with realistic (own) planning of due dates • BI-tools: Experience with business intelligence tools (examples: PowerBI, Tableau, Klipfolio, or others)
EDUCATION AND TRAINING • Experience in the fields of transportation and logistics. • Past work experience with programming and databases.
