Job Description

Global medical device manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to handle their Accounts Payable and Receivables.

DURATION: Temp to Hire after 90 Days or sooner!

SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday - 8AM to 5PM with flexibility to start as soon as 7AM.

LOCATION: Irvine, Ca 92618

DUTIES

• Full cycle accounts payable including, processing accounts payable invoice, invoice approval, data entry, PO matching and preparing for check issuance. Maintain supplier files on all open and paid invoices
• Process, distribute, or void checks
• Resolve payment and invoice questions through phone contact with suppliers and purchasing department
• Maintain various accounts payable related reports and files, including supplier information forms, W-9 forms, and supplier information through QAD and Coupa
• Assist in performing periodic AP reporting and account maintenance and clean up
• Assist in project based transitional activities and system upgrades

GENERAL ACCOUNTING

• Support and assist with month-end close for AR, including for cash posting and running month-end reports
• Preparation of monthly journal entries and accruals including for utilities, Coupa sales tax, R&D sales tax, and Coupa accruals
• Prepare month-end JE’s and reconcile prepaids accounts such as licenses, property taxes, and sales taxes, book accruals for the president club and board fees, and maintain the professional services reconciliation
• Assist in other general account functions and projects

REQUIREMENTS

• AA DEGREE OR HIGHER WITH FOCUS ON ACCOUNTING
• 5 YEARS EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
• PROFICIENCY WITH EXCEL - PIVOT TABLES & V LOOK UPS
• KNOWLEDGE OF QAD ERP SYSTEM
• INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IN MANUFACTURING HIGHLY DESIRED
