    Mars Premier Care LLC. is an agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in the state of New Jersey.

    We are in search of Direct Support Professional in Newark, NJ that will ensure best practices are used to teach individuals with disabilities how to acquire the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social skills needed to live as independently as possible.

    Duties:

    Provide direct care and support to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities

    Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors

    Administer medication according to prescribed guidelines and maintain accurate records

    Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times

    Maintain a clean and organized living environment

    Document individual progress and communicate effectively with team members

    Taking client to community activities(local gym, library, museum,YMCA)

    Transporting client from work

    This client is strictly Community Based Supports

    Looking for an individual to engage with client outside of the home, movies, museum, zoo, park aquarium, malls etc

    Qualifications:

    Experience or education in social work or a related field is preferred

    Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and behavior management techniques

    Ability to follow medication administration protocols and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations

    Experience working with children or in a childcare setting is a plus

    Physical ability to lift and transfer individuals as needed

    Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for transporting individuals to appointments or activities

    First aid and CPR certification is mandatory

    This position requires a compassionate individual who is dedicated to providing quality care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, an individual who is able to work effectively as part of a team, and have a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others.

    Full-Time: 34 hours Weekly Monday-Friday (8:45am-3:30pm)
