Personal problems that need to assistance of an effective lawyer, who can help articulate solutions to those problems in a way the clients or a small child can understand. If you think this is you, then we should talk. We are a small, fast-paced, and growing Elder Law and Trusts and Estates firm in MetroWest Boston and we are looking for an Associate. For 15 years, Marsden Law has been helping clients plan and secure their legacies for future generations. To continue our mission, and to help us as we grow, we are looking for the right person to join our team. Responsibilities: The Attorney will be responsible for all aspects of a client’s case including initial meetings with the client, onboarding the client, drafting documents, reviewing planning goals and objectives with the client, outlining additional planning options, and final planning meetings up and through the conclusion of the matter. The firm also handles probate matters, Medicaid/MassHealth planning, and some real estate. The attorney should be familiar with the MUPC, MassHealth regulations, and conveyancing from the seller’s side.Skills and experience are appreciated and valued, but personality, character, intelligence, and integrity will also be paramount considerations. High-maintenance, humorless, or self-important individuals will not succeed in this position and should not apply. Qualifications: • Demonstrated passion for Estate Planning, Probate, and Elder Law. • Minimum three to five years experience practicing Estate Planning and Elder Law. • Excellent organizational skills. • Impeccable attention to detail. • High degree of proficiency with MS Word. • Working knowledge of case management systems, calendaring, and task management. • Able to manage multiple cases with conflicting deadlines and time pressures. • Self-starter, quick learner, and solid ability to work independently. • Team player. • Licensed to practice law in Massachusetts. • Knowledge of probate, MassHealth, and real estate conveyancing required. • Must have a clean record with respect to malpractice judgments and bar grievance determinations. • Background checks will be conducted. References will be contacted. Feelings might be hurt. Compensation: $100,000 - $150,000 yearly
