    The law firm of Marshall Dennehey, a large insurance defense firm, is seeking a full-time Billing Coordinator with 3+ years of experience in Legal Billing with ebilling/website submission experience for its Philadelphia, PA office.

    Position Summary:

    The Billing Coordinator works with different legal departments to ensure accuracy of invoices, correspond with clients to follow up on outstanding payments and resolve billing related issues.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Process pre-bills and ensure clients are billed correctly for legal services
    • Work with billing attorneys, paralegals and their assigned administrative assistants
    • Prepare and submit invoices following the Firm's guidelines and billing procedures
    • Issue invoices and distribute them electronically or by mail
    • Correspond with clients, answering questions and resolving issues
    • Follow-up on outstanding payments and reconcile account discrepancies
    • Identify and resolve billing issues, both in paper format and e-billing format
    • Maintain and update records
    • Perform other related duties as assigned
    • Regular in office attendance
    • If submitting is part of the billing duties, ensure proper submission of invoices on website, add submission date to Aderant. If rejected, remove date. Record reasons for non-submission into Aderant.

    • Capable of making timely, independent decisions
    • Must have strong knowledge of billing and financial concepts
    • Strong use of keyboard shortcuts: 10 keys
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
