Experience in handling legal issues such as child custody, equitable distribution, spousal support, and domestic violence is also a must. Responsibilities: • Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation and forming a strategy for a plan of action • Create legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgements and orders for a high volume of cases • Attend court proceedings as needed to represent clients • Divide marital assets, including real estate, when necessary during divorce proceedings • Work closely with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the civil litigation process • Keep client files properly organized and up to date Qualifications: • Strong knowledge base of representing plaintiffs and defendants • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations • 5-10 years of family law experience preferred Compensation: $120,000+
