Candidates should be adept at preparing necessary legal documents in connection with prenuptial agreements, initiating and finalizing divorces, alimony, child support/child custody, and real estate. Responsibilities: • Maintain client files to ensure they are properly organized and up to date • Create legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgements and orders for a high volume of cases • Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process • Divide marital assets, including real estate, when necessary during divorce proceedings • Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed Qualifications: • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations • 4-year degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are necessary for this position • At least 5 years of family law experience or litigation experience Compensation: $93,000 yearly
