    Sr DevOps Engineer will work with the latest technologies in the marketplace, and drive transformation and modernization efforts across all enterprise teams.

    Working with Development, and other Infrastructure Services teams, the Lead DevOps Engineer will lead the infrastructure design and automation for cloud projects.

    Migrating applications to a cloud environment requires experience deploying enterprise applications to cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and proficiency with scripting and automation for those deployments.

    A high degree of collaboration with Development and other IS teams is required to design effective training/governance programs, and align roadmaps for cloud execution planning.

    The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership skills, will be forward thinking, will be self-motivated, and will be able to work effectively in a diverse, highly talented team, continuously striving for excellence.

    The ideal candidate will have the ability to work across a multitude of technical and non-technical groups.

    Description:

    • Design Cloud services using Identity, Storage, Compute, Automation, Disaster Recovery, and Networking features.
    • Establish best practices and the development/implementation of an enterprise CI/CD roadmap.
    • Evangelize, communicate and be a champion for automated deployment strategies across many development teams.
    • Design, implement, and support deep and detailed monitoring across the DevOps pipeline including operational telemetry for our products/platforms.
    • Research and evaluate emerging technologies and trends to ensure we are using the best techniques and tools to maximize software delivery velocity.
    • Work and continuously improve the DevOps pipeline and tooling to provide active management of the continuous integration/continuous deployment processes.
    • Create and peer review knowledgebase articles and product documentation.

    Basic qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field experience and 5-7 years of professional work experience in a similar field.
    • Experience deploying enterprise scale apps in public/private/hybrid cloud environments.
    • Solid understanding of security, privacy and operational concerns for applications running in public cloud.
    • Subject Matter expertise in one or more infrastructure subject areas of virtualization, security, networking, storage, monitoring.
    • Experience designing and implementing High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions
    • Experience working in an Agile team.
    • Experience in Automation/Continuous Integration (Salt, Fabric, Jenkins, Octopus Deploy, etc.)
    • Concurrent Versioning Software (Git, GitHub)
    • Ability to travel up to 30%
    • Deploying, automating, maintaining and managing AWS cloud-based production system, to ensure the availability, performance, scalability and security of productions systems.
    • Build, release and configuration management of production systems.
    • Pre-production Acceptance Testing to help assure the quality of our products / services.
    • System troubleshooting and problem solving across platform and application domains.
    • Suggesting architecture improvements, recommending process improvements.
    • Evaluate new technology options and vendor products.
    • Ensuring critical system security through the use of best in class cloud security solutions
    • functional programming with Elixir, python, Java.
    • Knowledge of containerization, particularly Docker (Kubernetes is a plus)
