JOB SUMMARY: MARKETING ADMINISTRATOR
Position is based in MSP’s New York City office.
Martha Schwartz Partners (MSP) is seeking a motivated Marketing Administrator to provide support for our international team of landscape architects, designers and planners in our multidisciplinary design practice. This position will work closely with our managing partner and senior staff. Candidates should have experience in marketing, including social media and digital marketing, proposal writing, and document layout.
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic and will have the ability to think critically, work as part of a collaborative, fast-paced team in an open environment, will have excellent organizational skills, be dependable and flexible, and have fun working with our team! be intellectually curious, have a strong sense of design principles, and have a love of language.
Key Responsibilities
• Business Development
o Monitor, track, organize and report back on project bids and RFP/RFQ opportunities.
o Copy edit proposals and project work as needed.
o On-demand design, including proposal creation; responsible for storyboarding, drafting, updating, and finalizing all organizational presentations
• Communications/Social Media Management
o Manage the firm’s online presence including website, newsletter, and social media (Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook).
o Work collaboratively with the team to create and regularly post content that is engaging and aligned with the firm’s vision and values.
o Prep monthly calendar and weekly posts
o Report monthly activities and observations
o Maintain and organize digital library
• Administrative duties
o Support administrative office tasks as needed, including purchasing and internal office coordination.
Qualifications
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, graphic, and visual)
o Ability to capture the voice and tone of the brand and suggest improvements
o Strong sense of design principles
o Clear graphic communication and storytelling (proposal layout, social media communication, and layout)
o Expertise in a range of computer software tools, including Google Suite, MS Office, and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat), and web-building tools like Wordpress and Squarespace
o Strong organizational skills and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines independently
o Self-starter, detail-oriented, extremely organized, and both an analytical and creative thinker
o Sense of humor and collaborative approach to work
o Rigor and attention to detail
o Willingness to take initiative, offer new ideas, and collaborate within a team environment.
Additional Desirable Qualifications
o Background or education in landscape design, architecture, design, marketing, or public relations.
o Experience with project pursuits and digital marketing (including proposal writing and research).
o Multilingual written and oral skills.
Candidates must hold a BA or higher. The candidate should have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in marketing or graphics for a professional service company. Experience with an architectural or landscape architecture firm is plus.
