Private family on Martha's Vineyard seeks a seasonal housekeeper. The candidate will be required to work weekends and holidays (when the family is in residence.) In addition to a flexible schedule, the candidate must have dinner service and event experience. The ideal candidate will be extremely detail oriented and have a strong knowledge of laundress duties in addition to primary housekeeping duties. Additionally, the candidate must have a proactive attitude towards keeping the home in pristine order. Must love dogs, have a driver's license and be a true team player! Housing is provided.

Responsibilities

• All aspects of general housekeeping and deep cleaning of residence
• Ability to perform museum-quality cleaning with proficiency in special surfaces (wood, glass, leather, antiques, silver, etc.)
• Maintenance of home for guest readiness at all times including making beds, preparing rooms etc.
• Completing the client's laundry including washing and ironing clothes
• Superior organization skills and willingness to go above and beyond in all aspects of the job
• Organization of all closets, pantries, and storage areas
• Cleaning, care, and upkeep of the residences
• Additional Housekeeper responsibilities and duties as needed and requested by the family

Requirements

• Strong command of English language; outstanding communication skills both written and verbal
• Excellent references required from both current and previous employers
• Minimum 5 – 7+ years of experience working in a private home
• Exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities; willing and able to take direction well
• Thorough knowledge of deep household cleaning, and storage organization
• Polished, poised, and professional in both mindset and manner; use of utmost discretion and confidentiality at all times
• Flexibility in scheduling with the willingness to work additional hours as needed
• Working both independently as well as with a large team
• Legally able to work in the United States
