The Human Resources Generalist is involved in all aspects of Human Resources. This position requires the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where attention to detail, analytical skills, and strong communication skills are essential.
This is an in-office role with two schedules to choose from:
- Schedule A: Sunday - Tuesday: 7 AM - 7 PM and Wednesday from 7 AM - 1 PM
- Schedule B: Wednesday 1 PM - 7 PM and Thursday - Saturday 7 AM - 7 PM
Essential Duties
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to appropriate staff
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
- In partnership with the HR Manager and field/corporate manages, supports the resolution of employee performance issues. Ensures appropriate corrective action steps are taken, including coaching, disciplinary action, and/or Performance Improvement Plans
- Initiates and conducts timely investigations and assists in preparing documentation and making recommendations for appropriate action regarding personnel, human relations, and work-related issues
- Prepares and documents investigative plans detailing the investigation, plan of action, and resolution as outlined per company standards and expectations
- Provides support to employees and managers in the handling of all human resource-related activities, which may include employee relations, fielding employee questions/concerns, and/or communication and interpretation of policies and procedures
- Oversees workflows, processes, and administration, recommending ideas for improvement and changes
- Complies and maintains conversation and employee records
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or education plus experience equivalent
- 3 - 5 years of Human Resources background preferred
- National experience a plus
