    Job Description:

    White Bark Property Management is seeking a talented Mason focused Construction & Property Improvements on to join our growing maintenance and construction team. This is an excellent opportunity for a craftsperson who takes pride in their work and wants to contribute to high-quality residential and commercial properties across Maine.

    We’re looking for someone experienced in brick, block, stone, and concrete work, who can handle everything from structural repairs to detailed restoration and finishing.

    What You’ll Do

    Build, repair, and restore masonry structures including walls, walkways, foundations, chimneys, stairs, and decorative features.

    Perform tuckpointing, repointing, patching, and mortar repair to ensure long-term durability and appearance.

    Lay out, measure, and cut materials using appropriate hand and power tools.

    Mix mortar and concrete to proper consistency based on project needs.

    Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine materials and installation methods.

    Inspect existing masonry for damage or deterioration and recommend the right repair approach.

    Prepare, clean, and finish work surfaces.

    Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site and properly care for tools and equipment.

    Work closely with maintenance staff, contractors, and property managers to plan and execute projects.

    Provide accurate estimates for labor, materials, and timelines when needed.

    Ensure all work meets building codes, safety standards, and company quality expectations.

    What You Bring

    Proven professional experience as a Mason with a strong work history and/or portfolio of completed jobs.

    Expertise in brick, block, stone, and concrete work, including laying, pointing, patching, and restoration techniques.

    Strong understanding of masonry materials, tools, and industry best practices.

    Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and project plans.

    Proficiency with masonry tools such as trowels, levels, chisels, saws, mixers, and grinders.

    Knowledge of relevant building codes and safety protocols.

    High attention to detail, strong craftsmanship, and pride in producing quality work.

    Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.

    Reliable communication skills, professionalism, and a problem-solving mindset.

    Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.

    High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training, apprenticeship experience, or certifications (e.g., OSHA 10/30) are a plus.

    Physical Requirements

    Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs regularly.

    Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, climb ladders, and work outdoors or indoors for extended periods.

    Comfort working in various weather conditions and on active job sites.

    Manual dexterity and strong hand–eye coordination.
