    We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mason to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will specialize in all aspects of masonry work, including construction, repair, restoration, and aesthetic enhancement of brick, block, stone, and concrete structures. This role requires precision, an eye for detail, and a strong commitment to quality craftsmanship.

    Responsibilities:

    Construct, repair, and restore various masonry structures, including walls, foundations, chimneys, walkways, and decorative features, using brick, block, stone, and concrete.

    Perform tuckpointing, repointing, and mortar repair to maintain the integrity and appearance of existing masonry.

    Lay out and cut materials to specified sizes and shapes using hand and power tools.

    Mix mortar and concrete to the correct consistency.

    Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine materials required and methods of installation.

    Ensure all masonry work adheres to building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.

    Inspect existing masonry for damage, deterioration, and structural issues, and recommend appropriate repair solutions.

    Clean and prepare surfaces for masonry work.

    Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper care and storage of tools and equipment.

    Collaborate with other maintenance team members and property managers to coordinate projects.

    Provide accurate estimates for materials and labor for masonry projects.

    Qualifications:

    Proven experience as a professional Mason, with a strong portfolio of completed masonry projects.

    In-depth knowledge of various masonry materials (brick, block, stone, concrete, mortar) and their properties.

    Expertise in masonry techniques, including laying, pointing, patching, and restoration.

    Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.

    Proficiency with all relevant masonry tools and equipment (e.g., trowels, levels, chisels, saws, mixers).

    Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations related to masonry.

    Excellent attention to detail and precision in craftsmanship.

    Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

    Effective communication skills.

    Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

    High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in masonry is highly preferred.

    Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA 10/30) are a plus.

    Physical Requirements:

    Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.

    Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb ladders, and work in various positions for extended periods.

    Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.

    Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
