OVERVIEW:

The Machine Operator will use different equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging and other steps along the production process to produce a quality wood door to customers specifications. A Machine Operator is expected to safely operate machinery and power tools.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Read and interpret written work orders, machining sheets and templates.

· Perform operations as required by these work orders and machining sheets to configure the door.

· Demonstrate competence and working knowledge of each machine that you have been trained and certified to operate.

· Operate machines in a safe and efficient manner and perform periodic maintenance, notify Supervisor of any equipment problems or safety concerns.

· Perform assignments in the most efficient manner to maximize production and not jeopardize safety.

· Have working knowledge of and follow all appropriate quality control guidelines.

· Notify Supervisor upon completion of daily work orders.

· Any other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

· Successful candidates have shown a good performance record

· Working knowledge and experience of production flow and processes

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
