We are seeking a NYS Licensed Massage Therapist as we expand our medical massage therapy services at our established and respected Internal Medicine , Integrative and Functional Medicine practice. Our office and staff offer a warm, caring, comfortable and safe working environment for you and our patients in a spa-like setting. Job Summary As a Massage Therapist, you will tailor massage treatments to your patient's individual needs and health goals. Our patients utilize massage therapy for pain relief. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in a variety of massage styles, possess a deep knowledge of human anatomy and the musculoskeletal system, be effective in pain relief and work well as part of an integrative medical team. Our patients are evaluated and followed by our medical team of physicians and nurse practitioner.

Training in Advanced Soft Tissue Release techniques , Myofascial Release techniques is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of massage treatments

Maintain accurate records of each session ( SOAP notes )

Build relationships with patients to assist them with meeting their health goals

Ensure a clean and safe facility

Complying with all applicable standards, rules, and regulations.

Qualifications

Hold a current New York State license and liability insurance to practice massage therapy

Capable of performing deep tissue, Swedish, trigger point release , myofascial release massage modalities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Experience in Medical Massage

Ability to write SOAP notes ( we utilize EMR )
