    Overview & Expectations of Spa Manager…

    The Spa Manager is responsible for management and day to day operations of the spa and for the department's development of long-term directions, in support of MassageLuXe's Mission and Values, including profitable financial management, effective leadership, excellent customer service skills, and supervision of department requirements and standards.

    The Spa Manager must possess strong business and organizational skills as well as have creative energies and the ability to motivate and inspire a talented and diverse spa team. Must possess exceptional skills in running a spa operation following all corporate and owners’ policies and expectations. Spa Manager must also have sales experience and be comfortable selling memberships and training staff on sales.

    The Spa Manager Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    Assist with the screening and selection of all qualified spa staff, communicating performance expectations, providing associates with on-going feedback, mentoring and help in conducting official performance reviews.

    Leading a staff of service professionals by providing associates with coaching and counseling as needed to achieve performance objectives to reach their fullest potential.

    Selling memberships for the spa and leading the team in meeting monthly sales goals.

    Demonstrated ability to balance coaching/mentoring with discipline.

    Create a supportive and professional environment which consistently delivers a spa experience that exceeds guest and associate expectations.

    Delivering outstanding customer experiences in spa services and retail operations.

    Maintaining a positive and professional attitude and appearance while always leading your team by example.

    Oversee operations in the spa departments of Massage, Skincare, Guest Reception, Spa Retail and Community Outreach.

    Along with Owner/ Upper Management, develop and monitor financial strategies to increase revenues while controlling operating expenses, monitoring annual budget and forecasts, reviewing monthly financial statements, implementing inventory management, and purchasing procedures, as well as monitoring and adjusting staffing levels, spa service appointments and operational expenses, to maximize spa profitability.

    Handle administrative tasks including but not limited to scheduling, inventory, daily staff task lists, deposits, getting change, maintaining communication with management in each department and reporting.

    Ability to work flexible schedule including days/ evenings/ weekends/ holidays.

    Strong organizational/planning and computer skills

    Knowledge and understanding of all spa services and product lines.

    Ability to promote the health and wellness benefits of both massage therapy and facials.

    Help develop and enforce standard operating systems, to ensure the facility is maintained to luxury spa standards.

    Strategically and proactively develop programs, marketing initiatives and promotions to increase revenue generating opportunities, enhance the guest experience, and increase the repeat guest base.

    Help support public relations requests for the spa and respond to all media leads.

    Establish beneficial partnerships with all product, equipment, and supply vendors that include competitive pricing, technical support, training programs and coop promotions.

    All positions may perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs that may be outside the scope of normal duties.

    Most work tasks are performed indoors. Position requires walking and giving direction most of the working day. Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability and visual acuity. Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
