Job Description

We are a Los Angeles-based civil litigation firm seeking to hire an Associate Attorney to handle a high-volume of personal injury and habitability defense cases from inception to resolution. Successful candidates will have prior civil litigation experience and be well-versed in California civil discovery. This is an excellent opportunity for ambitious and motivated attorneys seeking to take their career to the next level with hands-on experience in depositions and trials.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage a high volume of civil litigation defense cases from inception to resolution.
• Conduct legal research, draft legal memoranda, and pleadings.
• Conduct California civil discovery and prepare for trial, including drafting motions, preparing witnesses, and organizing evidence.
• Represent clients in court, attend depositions, and engage in settlement negotiations.
• Communicate regularly with clients to update them on the status of their cases.
• Work closely with partners and other associates to ensure that cases are handled efficiently and effectively.

REQUIREMENTS:

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in the state of California.
• Experience in civil litigation defense, preferably with 2-5 years of experience.
• Well-versed in California civil discovery and trial preparation.
• Excellent research and writing skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work long hours when required.

SALARY: The salary for this position is commensurate with experience, and we offer opportunities for growth and advancement within the firm.  We are currently hiring for positions at both the Associate and Senior Associate levels.
